“Terry Smith-Harris provided Fitness Training to me from 10 to 11 on the 5th of August. Now, mind you she’s one of those young athletic types… so I was a bit wary for a moment. However, Chassi carefully listened to my aspirations and came up with  a 1/2 hour weekly schedule that targeted my goals as well as addressed my hesitations and limitations. Every week with her,  I feel each session is designed for my benefit.  This continues to help me become a stronger person as well as gives me confidence to believe that I can reach my goals.   
The best part is, I don’t dread the visit to the gym.  No longer do I have to make excuses and find reasons to cancel my work outs.  This work out - is perfect for me.  It is doable. reachable,  and offers a pathway towards becoming a healthier and happier person.

Roxy has given me the push I need to get through a hard workout that I sometimes lose when working out alone. The variety of workouts and challenge is something I have needed to subside any reservations I did have going into it.

Just like with anything else, you get what you put into small group training. The more sessions you attend in a week, the quicker you will see results. Additionally, the more you utilize your time in training the better the results you will see - such as pushing the amount of weight you use or learning to work through discomfort vs. pain. I look forward to SGT every week and absolutely hate it when I have to cancel or reschedule my session, it is definitely worth trying out!

“I was nervous when I first started working with Lara because I really hadn't done any strength training in over 2 years and I was pretty out of shape. It takes a lot to be vulnerable with someone I've never met before, especially when I was not comfortable with my body or where I was physically. I was also intimidated working out in an open gym because there were other people who could witness my perceived physical ineptness.

I would highly recommend working with Lara. I feel that she truly cares about my goals and progress and goes above and beyond when she designs programs. “I started with Aeron about 9 months ago. Since I have lower back arthritis and a meniscus tear in my left knee I'm always concerned about movements/exercises that don't compromise those 2 areas.

Aeron gives me feedback and helps me learn and to recognize correct body mechanics, ie, how to keep my back in a safe and neutral position, for example. And we work with front to back rather than side to side motions for my knee. Her communications reassure me and allows me to proceed without hesitation.

For me, there is a learning curve involved in appreciating techniques, movements and weights that are effective and safe, along with lots of practice. I'm not the expert. And having a knowledgeable trainer who is also a good communicator motivates me and gets me in the door.”
