How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club?I've been a member for several years, but I've been making regular use of my membership for about a year now.
What is your favorite piece of equipment or exercise to do in the gym? I don't know if I have one specific favorite. I like to mix things up and use different machines and exercises. I've been loving the BodyPump classes. Weekend workouts are often the hardest for me motivation-wise, so going to one of the early morning weekend BodyPump classes has been a great incentive to get in a really awesome workout.
Why do you work out? I've been focused on weight loss over the past year, and while the majority of that is nutrition-driven, exercise definitely plays a role, particularly in helping me maintain as much of my muscle mass as possible while losing fat. I also just feel better when I'm regularly exercising!
What do you do to work out? I do a mix of full body strength training workouts and cardio, specifically running on the treadmill. I also like to attend BodyPump and yoga classes.
What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals? Everything! The class offerings have been great when I've needed to try a little something different to mix things up and stay excited and motivated. The hours are great and provide flexibility with my workout schedule. The free fitness training every 6 weeks was a great way to introduce me to some of the equipment that was a little intimidating when I first started working out.
Why do you choose to work out at BHC? It's a good location for me, it's affordable, and it has everything I personally need and want in a gym!
