The deadlift is one of the most powerful and fundamental movements in strength training — and one of the most commonly done wrong. Whether you're brand new to the barbell or looking to sharpen your technique and add pounds to your lift, this 75-minute workshop gives you the coaching, cues, and confidence to pull with purpose.

The benefits of proper deadlift techniques include:

  • Core strength and full-body stability

  • Glute, hamstring, and back development

  • Grip strength that carries over to everything

  • A foundation for squats, cleans, and other barbell lifts

What will be covered in the workshop, with demonstrations:

  • Stance, grip, and starting position

  • Breathing and bracing for a safe, powerful pull

  • Grip variations — double overhand, mixed, hook

  • When (and when not) to use a belt

  • The hip hinge — the movement pattern that makes it all work

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the benefits of the deadlift and the principles and techniques that will build your confidence and strength.
