Member Spotlight - Jane McGehee

How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club? 

Jane’s first visit to BHC was way back in 2013!

Why do you work out? 

Jane likes to workout because it makes her feel good, and she loves that she gets to see others as well as her friends.

When you are at the gym, what do you do to work out?

When she is at the gym, she prefers taking classes and using free weights. Recently she has began rolling; she really enjoys the tractor tread roller which gets in all the nooks and crannies! The spin classes have been a been a great way to keep her heart in good cardio standing.

Why do you choose to work out at BHC?

“I work out at the gym because it is local.  While all the other gyms offer classes that are an hour long, the spin classes and circuit classes at BHC are 45 minutes so I don’t get bored! It is a very clean gym. Instructors are good. Owner is really pleasant and always up for hearing feedback.”

What is your favorite piece of equipment, exercise, or class to do in the gym or at home? 

“My favorite piece of equipment are the new treadmills.  I have to take impact out of my routines, and the new treadmills feel so comfortable to do a light jog. I’ve began using the sauna, and it is so lovely.”
