Instructor, Trainer, and Operations Manager: Ivana Petro

After losing 100 pounds and discovering how she could do more of what she already loved to do, Ivana became inspired to be a personal trainer so she could empower others to achieve their goals. She has been teaching group exercise classes for 11 years and professionally personal training for 8 years.

Ivana prioritizes clients’ goals and lifestyle as the building blocks for their programs so they become stronger in their everyday lives. She enjoys doing the legwork of understanding each individual client to identify their needs and create workouts that are fun and effective.

“A typical session with me always involves a warm up to help prevent injury and prime the body to work. Movements are selected based on goals and client preference and the music is curated for the job! Oftentimes, I end up dancing in the background during reps and I greatly appreciate when my clients jump in with me. My goal is to give my clients a workout they can feel good about and for them to have fun in the process.”

She currently holds specializations in Behavioral Change, Corrective Exercise and Weight Loss through NASM. When she’s not teaching or training at the gym, her personal time is spent doing her favorite things- playing video games, reading, drawing, etc. She also loves to cook and really enjoys food!

“I teach a lot of group exercise classes that are based around endurance, cardio and lifting lighter weights, so when doing my own workouts, I take it to basics with simple lifts and heavier weights. My personal workouts are designed to counteract the time I spend doing my sedentary hobbies and to support me in my everyday life. Also- playing "Beat Saber" totally counts as a workout!”

What classes does Ivana teach?

Barre classes use interval style training to increase muscle strength and density, burn fat and create a leaner, stronger physique. It takes students from bursts of high level, intense activity into periods of relaxing, deep stretches, to imitate interval training and offer similar benefits.
