Member Spotlight - Ciara Pickley

  1. How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club? 

    Since February 2020! 

  2. What is your favorite piece of equipment or exercise to do in the gym? 

    I don't have a particular favorite - I like doing a little bit of everything!

     

  3. Why do you work out? 

    I found my passion for working out at the very start of the pandemic. It became ingrained into my everyday routine and not once did it ever feel like a chore; I looked forward to it! It does a tremendous amount of good for my mental state of being as well.

     

  4. What do you do to work out?

    I have most recently picked up running outside. I like doing the Golden Gardens stairs and I really enjoy taking HIIT class with Aurora. I thrive in her classes and there is this energy that is very Inspiring! 

     

  5. What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals?

    I was in awe of how quickly I built the habit of working out each day. They say it takes 30 days to build a habit that’s how long it took me. What worked for me was the rigorous livestream class schedule - all I had to do was sign up, open the link, and then participate in the class. I highly recommend them! 

     

  6. Why do you choose to work out at BHC?

    There is a particular energy at BHC; everyone is genuinely happy to be here. I love the local small business feel to it, and most importantly, I feel comfortable!!

     

  7. Anything else you'd like to add?

    Since Becoming a member at BHC it has changed my life for the better - I found my love for health and fitness here. Now my perspective is, I don’t look at working out as something I have to do, but something that I get to do!
