Member Spotlight - Hiromi Ogura

How long have you been a member at Ballard Health Club? 

I don't remember when I joined! My visit history shows 9/5/2013 as the oldest visit.  

What is your favorite piece of equipment or exercise to do in the gym? 

My favorite exercises are the ones for upper body, shoulders, arms, and chest. I see progress in my upper body, and seeing the results helps me push to the next level.  

 Why do you work out? 

I enjoy working out, and I want to stay strong and healthy as long as I can. Working out also has helped me build confidence, clear my head, and stay positive! 

 What do you do to work out?

I have been taking Small Group Training (SGT) in the morning twice a week since June 2020, and I work with Netto once a week for personal training. I really appreciate and enjoy SGTs. The instructors bring workout programs for us, and they are so good at motivating us in class! I became friends with some of the members since we meet on a regular basis.

What in the gym has worked for you in attaining your goals?

SGTs and definitely personal training sessions with Netto.   

 Why do you choose to work out at BHC?

Location, close to where I live, but absolutely the staff members. To me, they are more than the staff members, but a group of kind and wonderful people who sincerely care about me and others for our overall well-being.   

 Anything else you'd like to add?

Ballard Health Club has been my go-to place for workout, well-centered, and seeing my friends!
