Membership Rate Change and Thank You to the Front Desk!

January 8, 2023

Dear Members,

Happy New Year!

Our newsletter is going out about a week late this month.  With the holidays and some staff away and a crazy week getting the New Year started, I felt the staff did not need more stress getting this out in a hurry, so we are a bit later than usual.

By now you have hopefully received the news that our membership rates have gone up. The new rates have been in effect for new members to the Club as of Dec 25, 2022 and will be going up for existing month-to-month memberships February 1st. The email letter sent to everyone announcing the rates is here > BHC Membership Rate Change   The letter includes the offer of purchasing an annual membership during the month of January at the old rates to save $100.

You can feel the increased energy at the Club this week to start off the year. Existing members are newly committed to their fitness goals and we are acquiring new members that have found a new home to continue their fitness journey.

I want to really applaud and thank my front desk staff for their stellar job these past couple of weeks with a big increase in their workload.  With the New Year, many people are shopping for a health club and that greatly increases our efforts and time to give tours while doing everything else.

At other health clubs, they have a designated sales staff to do tours and sell memberships. We have no sales staff at BHC so the effort of tours and processing memberships falls on the front desk staff along with answering phones, picking up, washing and folding towels, and a million other things that come up with an energized environment that has been the Club lately.

We have been using our new Training Studio for several weeks now and the feedback has been great. More and more people are learning the benefits of Personal Training and we now have a better place to perform that service.

In Studio Y, we have installed the new floor, mounted the barre and the mirrors, mounted speakers, and will continue to improve the studio for our instructors and members using the space. We came up with an enhanced method of using 2 projectors for virtual class instructors and hope to have that in place soon.

While working out on the main gym floor this past week, a fellow member told me “being at the Club feels like I am part of something versus just a place to show up”.  That sure made my day. I am very thankful we have been able to retain the community we have come to know at BHC.

Thank you for being part of the BHC family.

Sincerely,

Pat Gilbrough
