New Treadmills on the Way!

09-26-23

Dear Members,

It’s been an abrupt end to our summer! We have such fantastic summers in Seattle in terms of weather – you almost forget what the rain is like and now we are certainly reminded!

This time of year is a typical transition period for many people with summer ending, kids back at school, and lives getting more in a routine of indoor exercise. We look forward to accommodating your routines with over 70 class offerings a week, 24/7 access, workshops, a full team of certified personal trainers, and an ever-improving facility.

I want to give a shout-out to our team of Yoga professionals that put on our free, open to the public, Yoga in the Park series at Sunset Hill Park this Summer.  Marianne Clarke on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm, Heather Rudin on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and Davin Koon on Saturday mornings at 10:00am. Several hundred people participated over the summer in this unique setting for a great MindBody experience. As our Class Director, Marianne Clarke worked with the City of Seattle to jointly put on this public offering.

We are continuing our club enhancement, and have placed an order for 11 new Precor Treadmills that will be arriving in November. One will go to the Personal Training Studio and the other 10 to the Cardio area. Along with  installing these new treadmills, we will reorganize the equipment in the Cardio area. That reorganization will put similar cardio units together.  So all the treadmills will be side by side, ellipticals, etc.  As part of  this change we will add more cycling bikes and relocate them on the gym floor.

We are still working on a new layout for the strength areas in the gym. One of the key items we will be adding is a Life Fitness “Jungle.” This unit will have 8 cable-based workout stations that will replace some units we have in the gym which will then open up space for other uses.

As we have been planning enhancements, members have chimed in with suggestions and we are incorporating many of those ideas into the plans. The BHC staff is pretty excited about the new improvements, and we look forward to sharing the fun with our members as these new changes are put into place.

See you at the Club!

Sincerely,
